This is about the time I started having problems with swelling, headaches, and blurry vision with Kai. So I am watching myself a little closer than I did last time. I am not stressing or looking for things to be wrong, just know that I need to listen to my body better this time.

I am 28 weeks and am so excited to meet her, see her face, hear her cry. I just can't wait. I need to get back into my cleaning mode to start getting her room ready. I got a sinus infection and it stopped me in my tracks. I haven't done a thing around here in 2 weeks!

Her birthday will be July 24th. That is the date that was set for my c section. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Kim can take pictures of her birth. The dr said he will ask and thinks it might be possible. Not getting my hopes up, but at least it wasn't a NO!

I will post my 28 week belly pics soon. Have to get them loaded on my computer.

Getting anxious...

So I am sitting here and for some reason just thought about holding and kissing on Kendahl. I cannot wait for her to get here. I cannot wait for her to meet her daddy and her big brother. Kai has been talking about her more and thinks he has a baby in his belly too. He tries to give baby Kendahl stuff by lifting his shirt and putting it on his belly. I know he will make a great big brother.

Maybe it is hormones but lately I have been hugging and kissing Kai more. I just can't believe how much he has grown and how much he can do now. I just love his personality and he makes me laugh everyday. He is so sweet and loving. I guess I am realizing that my time alone with him is coming to an end and soon I will have two to share my time, attention and love with. I am excited about it but it is a little sad too.

Ok, so it must be hormones because as I type this, I feel like crying. haha So I will stop for now. And I really have no excuse. They are as busy as I am.
So, here is an update. We found out we are having a girl due sometime mid to end July. Kendahl Sue will be her name and we are excited. Brad not as much b/c he fears being the father of a little girl. He remembers teenage boys and now has decided to keep her locked up! lol He will be a great dad to her b/c he will be so overprotective. If you all saw how much of a pushover he is with Kai it would make you laugh. He tries to act tough and stuff but I know the real him! ;) This little girl will be daddy's girl for sure.
I haven't been out shopping it up like I thought I would. I still find myself shopping for Kai and just browsing the girl isle. Guess it hasn't sunk in just yet.
Kai will start going to school on April 2nd, two days a week. He really needs some independant time b/c he clings to me still and has trouble lettiing me leave anywhere. (Not that he is left that often, guess that is my problem) I am excited for him to be on his own and have fun learning at school. It just makes me sad that he is old enough to go! Where do our babies go? *tear*
Not much else is happening but hopefully I will keep my promise to keep this site up.
Me and Kai...22 weeks along
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SdJORn834fI/AAAAAAAAAH4/ne78KJ8ZIH4/s320/kai2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319400174567023090" />
Kendahl's profile:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SdJOK7BCdSI/AAAAAAAAAHw/-xTzf_2k8VA/s320/scan0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5319400059425682722" />

Crazy Eights

Crazy Eight

I was tagged by Paige to do this Crazy Eight thing, so here goes...

8 TV Shows I Watch...
1. I like to brag about my 1st two trimesters w/ Kai b/c I had no real typical preganancy issues. No vomiting, no nausea, no sore breasts, nothing, just was really tired. Other than that I used to say if this is what being pregnant is like than I will do it all the time! HA! I definatley put my foot in my mouth on that one. I am nauseous all the time, have terrible heartburn which makes it uncomfortable to sit, lie, etc. I am REALLY tired and super moody! It is really a different experience so far for me. Don't get me wrong, I am over the moon w/ happiness that it finally happened, just not loving the symptoms that come along with it. ;)
My first dr appointment is on Thursday, Dec 18. I am excited to go in, not that anything will be happening to interesting but just excited for my first pregnancy visit. I really can't wait for the first ultrasound! Not sure how far along I will be before I get one but I am really anxious to see our little bean.
I have a hunch as to what I think the baby is. I am not telling anyone b/c the feeling isn't as strong as it was with Kai. I KNEW he was a boy. I have my thoughts on this one and we will see around March if I am right or not. But for now, I am leaving you with the names (Like them or not these are it):

Baby #2

We are pregnant w/ baby #2. Yesterday, while Grandma Cindy was still here, he went poop and pee on the potty! We made a big deal about it and Grandma took him to Wal Mart to buy a new toy. He was so proud and loves his new Handy Manny toy. Well, this morning, he pulled down his pull up and pants and said, "I poop on potty." And he did! I was so excited. I am hoping it will be a little easier than I thought. I know it won't be perfect but at least he isn't saying he is a baby and wants to poop in his pull up! LOL So all you mom's out there w/ potty trained kids who know how hard it can be to get one trained, say a prayer for me and wish me luck! ;)

While Cindy and Fred were here, we had our pictures done w/ Kim Harm's Photography and I have a few sneak peaks. She always does a great job! These are Kai's 3 year old pictures. I can't believe in less than a month he will be turning 3!!

Here are a few of the pictures she sent us already:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SRnKlPs7ecI/AAAAAAAAAGo/19rssu18HWA/s320/kai08.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267463980405455298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SRnKkz9C-AI/AAAAAAAAAGg/ZXfrX9YVdeY/s320/kai084.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267463972956862466" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SRnKkm_mUOI/AAAAAAAAAGY/ch5gF-pJcsA/s320/kai082.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267463969477906658" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SRnKktSuyNI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/mleQ3zepeyo/s320/kai083.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267463971168766162" />

Keeping up

I know, I am such a slacker on here! Well, Halloween has come and gone and it was a fun time w/ Kai. He LOVED trick or treating and getting his candy. He caught on quick that saying "trick or treat" got him candy in his bag! He went out w/ friends and they were all so cute. The weather was so nice we actually got to go outside, door to door and not freeze our butts off.

We are getting our family pictures taken on Saturday and I am so excited. Kim, our great friend, will be doing them again this year, and every year we are here in CO. She is so talented and I already can't wait to see our results! haha...I know, they haven't been taken yet but I just love her work and sneak peeks she gives you!;)

Next is Thanksgiving and then on to Kai's 3rd birthday! Kai saw it snowing last night and wanted to stay up to play in it. He isn't going to bed like he used to since the move to the big boy bed, so yes, he was up at 11:00 last night. We went and got him out of bed and took him to the door to see the snow. First thing this morning, he said, "I put on my Thomas boots and go in the snow!" Kids are so much fun! Without Kai, I would have thought this morning, "Great, snow! Now it will be cold and I don't want to go outside." But instead of that negative attitude, I got us both ready and we went out and played in the snow. It was fun and we had a blast! He loves to touch the snow and wear his Spider Man hat! He even found some purple flowers sticking up from the snow and was worried about them. He ran over to them and brushed the snow off them and said, "How beautiful!" It really made realize how little we as adults stop to "smell the flowers" as they say. He was having a great time looking at the trees, running after the birds, trying to build a snowman but the snow wasn't sticky enough, and deciding whether or not to go down his snow filled slide when his glove fell off. When he touched the snow with bare hands he decided it was time to go inside..."Too cold, I wash my hands." Haha...we will go out later again, if the snow hasn't melted by then.

Kai throwing snow at me!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SP9OxqThx4I/AAAAAAAAAFM/pd7Z1u8ziV0/s320/DSC01129.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260009504868779906" />

Kai and mommy
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SP9OzL5ZIMI/AAAAAAAAAFU/8VOwzo0seGo/s320/DSC01133.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260009531065835714" />

Finding the flower in the snow.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SP9OzxZLBuI/AAAAAAAAAFc/8nIyw77Bs2U/s320/DSC01148.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260009541131241186" />

That is cold stuff!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SP9O0jbAUpI/AAAAAAAAAFk/cFJkUugWDCA/s320/DSC01159.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260009554560701074" />

Halloween Portraits and Pumpkin Patch

My good friend, Kim, took some pictures of all the kids in their costumes. It is so pretty and I will miss the warm weather, outdoor fun, and summer, but I also love the fall season. So many holidays to celebrate and enjoy. I cannot wait to go to the pumpkin patch next weekend and get our pumpkins. Halloween is around the corner and I am on the hunt for shoes and shirt to make Kai's Leo costume to go along w/ his Rocket. He passed in his sleep. We knew it was going to happen but when we found him the next morning, it was still hard and we cried and cried! He was the best dog ever and we still can't believe he is gone and we won't be caring for him anymore. He was 12 1/2 years old and survived cancer for 2 1/2 years. They told us he would only live about 3-6 months, but he proved them wrong!
We got him a few months after we were married in March of 96 and has been with us ever since. He was so happy and sweet, just wanting to be petted and be near us. I am thankful he is not in pain or miserable and he went in his sleep. I took a few pictures of him right before he died. I am posting the last 3 pictures I have of him alive and breathing.
We got him cremated and his ashes will be spread in the mountains of Woodland Park. It is comforting to know he will be in the mountains forever.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SNEkW7dpadI/AAAAAAAAACM/zo2JUlleoKk/s200/DSC00845.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247015017201101266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SNEkXTtm3LI/AAAAAAAAACU/gXruX4n8tGk/s200/DSC00846.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247015023710493874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-9CrbrSMiw/SNEkXsUJnXI/AAAAAAAAACc/ws_0oIjvN-4/s200/DSC00847.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247015030314605938" />

Kai

I am posting a few pictures of Kai taken the past several months. That puts us here in Colorado for 4 more years as of his start date. I have am happy to be staying here b/c there is such much to do as a family and I have many friends that Kai and I just love to pieces!
We have been trying for well over a year to get pg one more time w/ no success. I know I can go to doctors and such but I put it in God's hands and will accept whatever his plans are for me. It is sad to think Kai might be an only child but I know God knows best.
Lisa, my younger sister, had a little girl last November and she is just a doll! I can't believe she will be one soon! We are all so thankful to finally have a little girl in the family to spoil rotten. LOL
Not much else is going on with the Mortons that is super exciting. I am still tutoring online and baby sitting so we can earn a little extra each month and I can be home with Kai.
Just check in often and I promise, this time, there will be updates and pictures!

Fall

I can't believe it is already fall! The weather is still nice here but this year has flown by so quickly! We will be going to get pumpkins next weekend and I was just looking at the pictures we took last year. Man it seems like yesterday. Kai wasn't even walking yet and now he is so active! I can't wait to see him run through the pumpkin patch. How fun!
He is going to be a Kansas City Chiefs football player for Halloween. I can't wait! This time of year is so much fun. I know we will probably be getting snow soon. YUCK! We had our first big blizzard in October last year. Here's hoping for no snow!
Brad made Tech Sergeant and I get to pin him tomorrow. I am very excited and proud. He worked so hard for this and he can't wait to put on his stripes Oct 1.

What's going on here in CO

Well, the summer is wrapping up and I am not ready for the cold weather or snow! The summer has been nice and hot. I was able to go to MO in Aug for 2 weeks and while I was there, my mom had a stroke. She is still out of work but is recovering well. She can talk and walk but she is a bit slower and gets off balance easier than normal. She needs to quit smoking b/c that was the main cause along with soda! I am just thankful I was there when it happened and I was able to help her when she came home from the hospital. I am still tutoring online, which I LOVE! It keeps me involved with education and I meet kids from all over the states. I can always pick out the southern ones b/c they have the best manners and say "ma'am" all the time! LOL Kai is growing so fast! He has a BIG personality and always gets attention when we go places. He makes the funniest faces (one I posted) and dances to all the Wiggles songs for people when you sing them for him! He is already in the terrible two phase and punishment does not phase him at all. I am really going to have my work cut out for me with him! We are working on #2 and hopefully it will be soon. My little sister is having a little girl, Jillian August, who is due on Kai's bday. We are so excited to finally have a girl! Not much else is going on just work, house and mommy duties. Check in often, I will try to post something new at least once a week but I do so much on myspace on might get behind on this one. I will try not to though!

Hello

I am creating this blog site for all my friends who do not have myspace.
